ZOMBIES and Vampires broke free at St Mary's Primary School's production of Dracula Rocks in Melrose.

The young performers belied their years with superb performances, under the watchful eye of Director of Music and Drama Kirsty McRae.

The Zombies and Vampires, who, with Count Dracula's help, managed to leave the underworld after disguising themselves at a Rock Concert.

Old rocker Jagged Mick and his backing group the Blood Sisters were the headline act at the event. This was intertwined with the interesting antics of Moriarty, his gang of criminals and the ever-inefficient Shirley Holmes and Dr Watson.

In addition thanks must go to the many parents and staff who gave up their free time to assist with the production.
