IT is one of the most controversial reality shows on television. And, this week, one of its stars is heading to the Borders.

Geordie Shore star Gary Beadle will meet fans at Move Music Venue in Galashiels on Thursday, February 16, from 10pm to 1am.

It follows the success of the visit of Joey Essex last year.

The cheeky chappie, who claims he should have a degree in pulling women, shot to fame in the reality television series broadcast by MTV.

Set in and around Newcastle upon Tyne, it is a spin-off from the much discussed US show Jersey Shore and follows a group of Newcastle socialites as they head out on the town, drink, dance and attempt to ensnare the opposite sex - with a high success rate.

Criticised for its lubricious nature, the show features hot tub make-out sessions, hungover mornings spent throwing up and late night bedroom shenanigans.
