GALASHIELS-born football star John Collins is back in the game after being appointed Director of Football Operations at Scottish Football League Division One side Livingston.

The 44-year-old former Scotland midfielder will oversee the entire football operation at the Braidwood Motor Company Stadium.

He will be responsible for planning and delivering the structure within which the club will coach and develop players from the youngest age groups upwards.

Collins is pictured having a ball on the new 3G pitch in Galashiels - the first to be built in the Borders - on Thursday night.
